Luis Lips

Luis Lips is a PhD student in Computational Neurophenomenology at the University of Sussex, with a background in computer science. He completed his Master’s degree at the University of Stuttgart, where he focused on cognitive science, reinforcement learning, and machine learning. His dissertation helped lay the groundwork for a new EEG analysis toolbox for evaluating mixed-effects models based on large-scale simulations. Luis has worked on applying granger causality analysis to MEG data recorded during sleep stages, and is working towards further research on granger causality and dynamical independence.
